    Very insightful post. :yes

I've been lurking on this board for awhile now and I have learned so much. The best advice for those of us who are new to this WOE (including me) is to read the book to familiarize oneself with the principles of Atkins (especially the crucial induction phase). Personally speaking, reading the book has opened my eyes about the relationship between the food we eat and how our bodies reacts to it.

      I couldn't disagree more

Newbies come on here and ask questions about induction and net carb foods because many times you hear various advice from friends and family that all think they know Atkins. Yes it is in the book but some times you need to reaffirm what you read. The stores and ads are now filled with foods labeled as "low carb" or "Atkins friendly" and there is nothing wrong with someone asking about them. In fact I would think that they are lazy if they don't ask the questions. That is what these boards are all about.

Let’s be honest here, all of us have been lazy. Either with our eating patterns our exercise habits or both. There is no reason to sit and judge after two weeks.

You have been on for two weeks and congrats on your weight loss but this holier than thou attitude kinda sucks.

Kathleen - thank you for the well thought out post. It is clear that you put a lot of effort into choosing the right words, and I applaud you.

I think it will be the type of post many people print out and stick all over the place as a reminder.
