  • Welcome to 2005!!

Welcome to 2005!! And welcome to the Atkins Diet Bulletin Board!!

Here on ADBB, you’ll find a wonderful support network of Atkineers that are journeying to better health and smaller bodies by following the Atkins WOL. It’s a Way of Life, not a diet, since the changes you make while on the plan can be profound, as well as life changing. Please read the TOS so you understand the basic rules. Also, we give advice based on the 2002 ed. of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR).

The FAQ Forum is a great place to start getting answers to common questions. It is a Moderator/Administrator post only board which allows the members to see information based on DANDR.

In addition to the Induction Forum, we have forums for members who have journeyed from Induction to OWL, as well as for those that have gone from OWL to pre-maintenance; and those that have gone to maintenance.

If you need inspiration, you need look no further than our Before and After Forum where members post pictures of the dramatic changing transformations that Atkins brings to their looks.

Exercise is non-negotiable, and to this end we have two forums just for Exercise – one for general questions, and the other is to challenge you to get moving. We have challenges for just about everyone, and if one doesn’t fit you, feel free to make one of your own.

Within the boards, you’ll find links to specific areas of concern such as diabetes or hypothyroid, as well as a board just for those that are pregnant or nursing, not to mention depression and emotional eating. Our Diabetes Forum gives advices based on Atkins New Diabetic Revolution, dated 2004, and Canuck, our Moderator for that board is interviewed as a success story for Atkins and Diabetes.

Don't be afraid if you have over 100 pounds to loose, many of us start with that and more. Our Century Club is a special forum for those needing to loose 100 pounds or more. And if we youngin's scare you, we even have a forum for those that have passed the half-century mark; although, be warned, you may loose enough years with taking off the weight that your friends think you've found the fountian of youth.

We also have specific, subscription-only forums for men and women where members of the same gender can talk about gender-specific topics. There is a section devoted to Teens, and the issues facing them as they journey to better health.

Down below, you’ll find an extensive recipe index where members contribute yummy Atkins-friendly recopies, and can post requests for ideas. Also, there is a link to the member’s cookbook, where you can publish your favorite recipes or look for those already out there.

And if this wasn’t enough, we have two daughter boards, the Atkins’ Diet Rainbow (ADRB), for those among us that want to address gay and lesbian issues that aren’t easily tackled here on the Main Forum; the other is Dieta Atkins, designed for our Spanish speaking members.

For those that need a little extra help with getting a clean induction, we offer a “Boot Camp” monthly in which you are challenged to keep it clean and stay that way. The Boot Camp FAQ forum has good info and comments from previous graduates.

Feeling bored and chatty, check out the Chat link at the top of the board to launch a Chat session where you and other Atkineers can talk about how things are going.

The Administrators and Moderators are here to help keep things running smoothly for you.

Welcome to 2005, and the Atkins’ Diet Bulletin Board!

I lost 80 lbs on Atkins a year ago, and then flaked out, Well, guess what happened, I gained 20 lbs back :yikes . I'm back on induction to lose that 20 and the other 65 that I was putting off. I've got the mindset back, and nothing can stop me now. So, wish me luck. :joy -Tiki- :joy
