Just read this article on the internet.

    Any comments or thoughts?

I believe it is from Prevention Magazine.

    Re: Resistant Starch

interesting article. i was glad to see that not they just weren't advocating eating mash pototoes or french fries. if you read clear to the bottom, we see brown rice and all sorts of beans and corn. it actually gave me some ideas on how to mix up my salads a bit.

    thanks for positng.

i could eat a sweet pot. raw. i love 'em!

i found the 'eat it cold, don't reheat' part of that article pretty interesting. never really gave any thought of any of this.

          Re: Resistant Starch

This was very interesting. Tks for posting. I'd never heard of resistant starches before...
The thought of maybe being able to eat more of certain starchy foods (cold), is quite scary to me. Think I'd be terrified to try, in case of ballooning in weight!

            Re: Resistant Starch

I found this article interesting, as well as confusing.

While I'm not close-minded enough to think that information would never change since the release Dr. A's book, I just have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact the starches can help me lose weight.

I WILL NOT be testing this theory. My doc has already told me that he has no problem whatsoever with my never eating potatoes or corn again. I have enough trouble staying on plan with lower rung foods.

            Quite an interesting theory, though.

I still own this from my 2nd round on Atkins. Didn't have any negative affects, but then I never used more than a tablespoon.
