How do you Watch a Topic?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, as I am just trying to learn to navigate around in this new board.

On the old board, there was something you could click to "watch this topic".

Now it appears, that the only way to watch a topic is if you actually respond in the thread.

I am technologically challenged, sorry if this question has an obvious answer.

In the heading of the thread should be a 'thread tools' link. Under that should be a 'subscribe' button.
