Free image hosting~

Finding free image hosting (sites that will host your image/s so that you can have a pretty siggy or show off your before and after pictures) can be hard. I've put together a list of sites that offer free image hosting. I don't know exactly how good their services are, but it's worth the time to check them out!

Photobucket is easy to use and totally free and does allow hotlinking, I just tested it. I will be recommending it to the folks I do graphics for!

Still not getting it.

Well I don't know what I am doing wrong with Photo bucket.
It allows me to put in Icons, but I don't see how I can edit them to include weight loss numbers... I guess I am too dense here !!!

After you upload you icon, then HOW DO YOU DO IT???? :help

Longtimer, you cannot edit anything in Photobucket. What you upload is what you link to. The approprate graphic must be created, and then uploaded.

Now icons for the left side of the board under your name are uploaded in your profile, but if you are wanting one of the flashing "weight counters" such as some of us make, I can help you.

I have a picture that I want to use that is in my browser.....is there anyway I can send it to someone or is there anyway someone can tell me how to put the numbers around it and load it up onto here??? I'm so frustrated :anger

Do you want to add it to your signature or as an avatar? By in your browser, do you mean it is on your computer or you can see it through your browser somewhere else? Typically, you need to host the image somewhere. This thread lists some web sites that host images for free. Once it is hosted somewhere, you type in the link to it surrounded by img code, like this:

[img]http://www.websitewhereimageis.com/imagefilename.jpg[/img]

If you are talking about your avatar, you need to go to your profile. Click at the top of the page to go there. Once in your profile, the avatar section is at the very bottom. You can either upload your avatar there or type in the http:// address of the file.

Thanks for your help Elleth...the pic is in my computer and what I want to do is put the numbers around it and it probably needs to be resized...I want it to be part of my siggy.....do you think I could email it to someone and they could put it in for me??? as I get the feeling that I won't be able to do this.....and I don't want to drive you nuts either lol....

Ah, I see what you want. We have a thread explaining how to get a weight counter. There are a few people that volunteer to make them for you. Here is the link to the thread with the information you need.
