Any Ideas About This?

Okay, something's going on with my computer only when I'm on the ADBB site and it's driving me insane. My computer is always trying to connect to rcm.amazon.com or is receiving data from rcm.amazon.com. I've never ordered anything from amazon.com! I don't even remember the last time I was on their webpage. I run antispyware almost daily (adaware and Ewido) and I run my antivirus about three times per week (AVG). Nothing out of the ordinary has been found. I've cleaned up the cache and cookies and everything else I can think of but this is very annoying because my computer is always trying to connect to that site every single time I change to any thread on the ADBB or post or even check pm's. It doesn't happen anywhere else.

If anybody has any ideas about this, please let me know because seriously, it's making me crazy!

It appears you have spyware that your software is not catching. I had this happen about a year ago and it was very difficult to remedy. Do you run any Internet Chat software like Instant Messenger? You could have picked this up by browsing a thread that had a reference to Amazon or clicked unknowningly on a link at one time and it is somehow linked to activity at this site.

The easy fix (for most home users) is to reinstall windows which will clean your registry. The harder fix is to determine what is running and intercepting your browser and then removing the pest.
