why cant i post in all areas???

Anybody know why i can't post in some areas of this board?? ON some of the threads when i hit post reply i get a box that pops up saying something like "you are not allowed to post in this area..blah blah blah". I have no idea why. Do you have to have a certain post count to post in some areas? I am confused? do i need an administrator to allow me access to post in certain areas? please let me know. thanks.

I think you need a certain amount of posting to get in another area.

if you are reading a stats journal nobody but mods, journal hostesses, and admins can reply there even though your box at the bottom says you can. the faqs were admin mod posting only too

if a thread is locked you can't.

check what forum you can read but not post in cause you got plenty of posts to be able to access all forums where membership isn't required.

Ok..thanks for the answers, next time it happens i will check to see what forum i am in. Maybe i was in a stats journal.
