I don't know about computers and stuff and I imagine it crashing to the floor.

This is my non-technical answer: It means you turn it on, and all you get is a black screen. It won't boot up, it won't do anything.

oh my gosh - which is what leads to the person in my imagination throwing the pc off the desk in anger and thus "crashing" it my way!
