ARGH! Help!

I am about ready to throw my pc across the room and stomp on it!

I have been trying and trying and trying and trying (get the idea ) to update my siggy - I get as far as it almost pulling up and it gets stuck.
This is what is showing down below "WYSIWYG Editor initialized for internet explorer in 0.14 seconds" the seconds are different each time I try, but nothing happens.

Anyone have a clue why? What I can do about it, short of tossing the pc out the window?

tamariah, did you get this taken care of? i get things like that all the time but my computer is usually extemely slow. i chalked my problems up to that.

i can make sure kent gets in here if you are still having problems.

I'm still having trouble pulling it up - and believe me I've tried a million gazillion times lol same problem. I think it must have something to do with my ticker thingy.

Hey Tam... Sorry it's taken a bit for me to get to this thread. It sounds like you have a corrupt page in your cache. Have you tried flushing your offline files under Options and offline content?

Kent! Hi !
I've been wanting to flush the pc - but it won't fit in the toilet!
I don't understand what you are suggesting - how do I flush offline files? Where is Options and offline content? If you give me directions - I might be able to find it - you know, upper left hand corner....everything on my pc is in norwegian lol.....Thank you for helping me! I really appreciate it!

Lady Hawke,
When you open your internet, look up at the top under tools, then click on internet options. Hit delete cookies and okay, then wait til it's done. Then hit delete files, make sure delete offline content is checked and then hit okay and wait for it to finish. If that doesn't help completely, go back and also delete your history in the same place. You can also go to your start button, then accessories, then system tools, and then disk cleanup and pick your main drive, normally C and hit okay. This will then find and show you a bunch of things with how much space they are taking up. Check off anything that looks like temp files that has a number for how much space they are taking up that you feel are okay to get rid of and click okay, then yes. This should clean all the old stuff out of your computer that Kent is referring to.

Hi Guys! It worked! I was just able to get in now and update my siggy! Fingers crossed for it working on Monday too!

Glad you got your prob sorted out Lady Hawke! I feel for you with a Norwegian keyboard/software... I have the same prob. Everytime someone tries to walk me through something in English it takes me forever to understand 'cos my keyboard and software is all in Italian!
