    woady,
look through the topics at the very top in this forum. you'll see some threads marked as "Sticky". check out the one titled Technical tips for using this board. this will supply you with some of the basics. you'll also find the instructions for posting pictures in posts and uploading pictures to the ADBB Gallery.

just in case, this is the link for explaining how to upload pictured into the gallery
    http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=29637

this is the thread to tell you how to post a new thead in a forum.
    http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=34599

since you seem to very new to the whole board experience, you may want to take a couple of days to just roam around and get use to the feel of the board.

i would suggest that your first stop for posting be at the Spotlight Introduce Yourself forum. here is the link for that forum. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...aysprune=&f=23

i'll keep checking back here, as will some of the other members to see if you have more questions. welcome to the ADBB!

Jimmie, what does it mean when it says on my USER CP that I have 97 points in my rep power, but all I show is one on my posts? Do you need a hundred before it moves? And where are they coming from, these points? How do you get these?

i think what i am about to tell you is correct. i am not the authority on the vbulletin softeware by no means.

points and power are different things although they work in conjunction with each other.

97 points are the points that you have received when people give you reputation. some one with more power would be able to give you more points. for example sillygirl giving you reputation would carry more weight than say a person with 17 posts and 0 power.
the way the numbers add up and the way the green boxes get added is all set up by the software.
you will gain power automatically when you reach 50 posts then 100 posts and so on. this also changes as people give you reputation.

i know that does not clear much up for you. i've tried to read up on this stuff quite a few times and still don't understand it all.
