Thanks, that works....but there's no link to get back to the portal page. There used to be on the old board. Clicking on the header at the top of the page doesn't take you there and you would think it would. Or am I missing something ?

Hey Tom, I'm not trying to be annoying or anything but I'm still having the same problem with my computer and this board. I've noticed a couple of other people were having it as well (for an example check out the July 4th challenge thread). It seems that everytimg I try to post something I have to type it in the actualy HTML code for anything to show up (colors, spaces, paraghraphs, etc.)


Also I cannot seem to use any of the links to insert smilies, or or change the size or color of a font, etc. Every time I try to click on the smiley down window it doesn't show up. My computer doesn't recognize the link, it thinks it's just an animated gif? This didn't used to do that. Am I missing some kind of plugin on my computer?


Here's a pic of how I need to manually type things in to get them to show up. Thanks!

The "New Post" button takes me to "Ooops...can't find the page you've requested" (or something like that).

I'm still in awe of the great things the site has, though...there's so many other buttons to click on all over the place.

i'm having some issues with the search feature, too. i'll bring this to tom's attention. he's still working on some other things.

Search feature does not seem to search anything older than May 2008. (Sorry if that has been brought up already)

try doing a search now, liv, and see if things are any better. i know the gallery search seems to be fixed and working properly.

No it still seems to do that. If I search for "pumpkin" or "flaxseed," for instance, I can only get recipes back to around May 23, 2008 but nothing older.

Hi,
Wonder if you can help me out. I'm trying to add a signature. when I go into CP it takes the info OK, but if you click on my name at the top left of my posts, to look at the profile, it brings up profile info for another 'Pat,' who joined the board in 2004, but whose last activity was Jan 1st 1970??? The same thing happens if you click on my name in the list of threads in the forum. If, however, you click on 'find all posts by Pat' from the name at the top of my posts, then it does show my posts, and not my apparent alter-ego!

I hope I've explained this OK. If anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it. I don't want to post anything else that will go on someone elses's name/profile, so I'll wait until I hear something.

Fingers crossed it can be sorted out.

Editing as I've just had a thought - when I joined up I managed to put a '.' ('full-stop' in the UK, do you call it a 'period' in the USA, or did I dream that?) at the end of my name, so my user name to log in is actually 'Pat.' I'm just wondering if that may be the cause of the problem?
