Rep Power-Huh?

    Rep Power-Huh?

    I know it is probably a stupid question, but can someone tell me what those green bars that say Rep Power above them mean? When I hovered my mouse near one of the bars, it had a nice phrase near it, but how did it get there and how come I have more bars now than I did last week?
    Thanks for your help for a confused newbie!

    Karen, those green bars are an indicator that represents "kudos", if you will. These are points that someone can award to you when you make a helpful comment or do something that is worthy of being rewarded (i.e. joining a Challenge - By the way, there is still time to join in on the August Challenges).

    To find out how and when you earned your Rep Points, look at the top of this page and you will see "User CP". This is your User Control Panel. Click it and there you will see the latest threads you participated in, options to edit your personal page and, at the bottom, there is a listing of who granted Rep Points to you.

          btw, some and most of the technical stuff you might need answers to can be found by clicking on the FAQ tab at the top of the page. it's found in the purpleish tool bar under the ADBB logo

            Thanks Jimmie, I was actually stumbling around the site for a bit looking at the tech folders--but didn't think to look at the faq page. There is really a ton of info on this bulletin board! I could spend a month on it and still find new material

                      I also have a question about reputation. I know how to use it, but every rep unit says something else when roll over. Something like : "your rep is beyond repute", "x is just really nice", " y will became famous soon enough", etc.

                      Can someone try make a list with these remarks? Something like:
                      1 rep: "z is on a glorous road"
                      2 rep "x is really nice",
                      so on.

                      It's just my curiosity.
