pace lap What are your hobbies and/or passions in life? Reading, listening to music, knitting, weaving, sewing, and cooking are some of my hobbies. My passions include my wonderful hubby , Greek and Roman art & literature, and continuing to learn.

lap 2 Which describes you best: I don't weigh, ever! ~ I weigh between 2 or 3 times a week ~ I am a full blown scaleaholic. I am a recovering, full-blown scaleaholic, so deep down inside, the scale demon will always be with me. I currently weigh only once week, which is far from the 20+ times a day it used to be.

lap 3 What is your favorite legal food? Eggs!!! You can create a lot of different meals with eggs, from savory to sweet!

lap 4 What is your favorite ADBB forum? Must I choose only one?? If so, it would have to be the celebration forum so I can see quickly, who reached goal, a certain milestone, or has just been super-duper at this WOE/WOL.

lap 5 Have you met any of your ADBB buddies in person? Not yet! But I would certainly love to!

lap 6 Looking back at the beginning of your journey, did you set reasonable goals when you started your weight loss journey? Oh lord no! Since my DH started Atkins YEARS before I did and was very successful, I thought my journey would mimic his if I did the same things. How quickly I learned, me just being a young grasshopper.

lap 7 What does 'paying if forward' mean to you? It means giving back at least 100-fold that which has been given to you. It is difficult to do any new WOE on one's own, and ADBB has helped me though many tough spots. It's now my turn to help others new (and old!) to this WOE.

lap 8 Where do you see yourself in 1 year, as it concerns your woe, exercise and health? Ah!!! I plan on being near or at goal!!! It's been a long ride for me, and I plan to continue exercising and learning more about healthy bodies and how to maintain them. I also see myself running my first 5K next year.

lap 9 How do you challenge yourself when it comes to exercise?
I love trying new moves!! If it's an exercise that I'm a "pro" at, such as cycling, I push myself harder and faster to see if I can complete the same distance at a faster time. I also rotate my collection of exercise tapes so that I don't feel like I'm doing the same moves every day. This is all coming from a former exercise hater who happens to love to sweat and feel ALIVE after a great workout!!

final lap If you could give somebody one piece of advise about this woe/wol,
what would you say? Be consistent about sticking to Atkins, which includes exercise! Don't be 100% perfect every other day, with cheats in between. Since no one can be 100% perfect, aim as high as you can and stay there. If you cheat, you're cheating yourself out of something totally wonderful!

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
