10 things to do with a potato
submitted by MorningGlory
1. Pencil holder! Carve out a few holes, insert pens and pencils. Use till rotten, then replace with new.
2. Home ear piercing! Half a potato will provide a good stiff backing to a large needle stabbed through your ear lobe. Lots of fun for you and the kids. Margarita=s also help.
3. Potato bowling! Much better than lawn bowling with those hard, perfectly round balls. Or, go potato bowling on your street....lost potatoes are environmentally friendly.
4. Sling Shot Ammo! Cut into chunks and shoot at nasty critters in your garden. Or at your neighbour.
5. Make a potato clock! A couple of pototoes, a couple of nails, a couple of pennies, an LED clock, and you=re ticking.
6. Genuine Potato Skin Wallet: Bake potato, cut in half, scoop out flesh, and voila...2 handy little change holders!
7. Foot warmers! Bake 2 potatoes, stick in bottom of bed to warm your toes.
8. Household Glue! Mashed potatoes make great wallpaper paste. And you can fill all those nail holes in your walls with them too.
9. Poker Chips! Slice thin, deep fry til extra crisp, add a coat of varnish and you=re in the game!
10. Chia Pet! Hollow out potato. Carve eye, nose and mouth holes, add dirt and grass seed. Water daily.
