    10 LAPS WITH JIMMIE
    Featuring Lady_Hawke, member since May 2, 2004

pace lap What are your hobbies and/or passions in life? I enjoy reading, painting, writing, and cruising along the coast listening to my country music.
My passion, as stuck up as this may sound, is me. I've been hiding in this cocoon for so long I've lost my self.
So self discovery and visualization help me to discover more and more of the woman I once was and the woman I am becoming again as my life changes and as my cocoon melts.
Of course my son and my man, who put the smiles in my heart.

    lap 2 Which describes you best: I don't weigh, ever! ~ I weigh between 2 or 3 times a week ~ I am a full blown scaleaholic.
I weigh once a week at the doctors office. I'll never have a scale in my home - when I did I'd weigh all day long and the numbers would have too much influence on my mood. Scales be evil.

lap 3 What is your favorite legal food? Cheese. I love cheese. I think I was a mouse in another life.

lap 4 What is your favorite ADBB forum? Chit chat - because its so fun to play there after being serious else where on the ADBB.

lap 5 Have you met any of your ADBB buddies in person? Oh yes! Becky, dreamof145, drove down to phoenix the last summer I was home. It was so wonderful. Becky is just as sweet in person as she is online. She is an amazing woman and a dear friend.

lap 6 Looking back at the beginning of your journey, did you set reasonable goals when you started your weight loss journey? I restarted July 9th 2006 and have set many mini goals for myself. So yes, I believe I have set reasonable goals.

lap 7 What does 'paying if forward' mean to you? Being here and helping when I can. Celebrating accomplishments, offering my support and giving hugs.

lap 8 Where do you see yourself in 1 year, as it concerns your woe, exercise and health? I see myself as a happier, healthier and beautiful woman who's outside is quickly catching up to her inner beauty.
I'm going to get into weight lifting - I loved it in college - and besides, I want some "guns" like yours Jimmie

lap 9 How do you challenge yourself when it comes to exercise? I host the Mileage and Double Chin challenges on the ADBB and it's a challenge to reach the goals I set for myself.
I'll be doing Lyssie's Kicka$$ Challenge which begins April 9th - so depending on when you guys are reading this you can either cheer me on or congratulate me on an awesome job!

final lap If you could give somebody one piece of advise about this woe/wol, what would you say? Once you begin induction, stick to it. Never ever ever give in to the first bite of temptation. I know because when I started in 2004 I was doing great and then temptation hit and I bit and it took me 2 years for everything to fall into place again and click for me. I don't want to see anyone else go through what I did.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
