  • In her own words.... fowlergirl

    My journey to Atkins:

My name is Fowlergirl and I have been overweight for about twenty years. My husband and I had recently moved to a new city and I went to the doctor to establish myself as a patient. I spoke with the doctor about my weight and my concerns with developing weight related illnesses.

I noticed after the check up, she had written obese as my diagnosis. It was like a lightbulb came on. I said that I have to get this weight off me. So I started looking at diet plans. I looked at low calorie plans and didn't like any of those. I refused to be hungry.

Then I went to visit my sister and she had the lastest Atkins book on her bookshelf. I asked her if she was using it and she said no. I took it home and began to read. The next day I started induction and the rest is history. Now I am 14 pounds from my goal weight and loving life.
