    Holy Cow! You're a definite "strong woman"! LOL I finally saw your before and after pictures...and you are thin and don't look like someone who can leg press 735 lbs and bench press 235lbs! (Somewhere in my brain, I think someone who can do that should look like Arnold S.) Now, I mean that to be a complement, and I hope it sounded like one.

      thanks as you know from lifting yourself you can be pumped up after you get done and look lots bigger. that pic was taken at a church event and i had not done my workout that day. I don't think the sleeves would have fit if I'd done an upper body workout before hand. I know the legs are tight after a workout cause I put them on after a workout to meet family for didner once. never going out after working out in dress up clothes again LOL

          Hi 2big!
          Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary. Mine is coming up in September, but I'll have to fight very hard if I'll be anywhere near goal by then.

          My questions for you

          1. Do you remember me? (We started not too far apart from one another...I started Sept 2nd, 2003)

          2. I remember April 2004...I believe it all started when someone brought tortilla chips into your home! How did you come back from you "fall from grace/Atkins"? Did you start with a clean induction?
          How long were you "off plan"? How much did you gain?

            yep i remember you. I actually stared my Atkins June 02 but only joined ADBB April 25th 2003 which is why this is a 3 not 4 yr anniversary.

The chips were from the SuperBowl party and boy was I angry about those doritos in my house. you could smell them everywhere. needless to say that person who so thoughtfully brought them cause he knew I would not be serving them was not invited back for the 05 party.

            the famous April 1 jumping off the wagon and getting run over was from a combination of things actually being below goal weight from a body fat point of view and not knowing it, struggling for several months to acheive that number from the healthy BMI and height weight charts, but mostly cause I wasn't allowed to use my beloved treadmill since March because of the knee surgery. I learned from that that I had been using a single coping mechanism for cravings and emotional eating issues and when that coping mechanism ( my treadmill) was gone I was defenseless. Since that was when I was locked out of ADBB I was using another board as were you and everybody ignored my help post cause either they thought it was a April 1 prank topic or they couldn't beleive cheatfree 2BIG was even thinking about really doing it. Needless to say ADBB memebers would never do that.
            I struggled with it for 3 days and finally caved and eat everything counting the carbs the whole way. i had over 1000 on day one and was sick as could be that night but that didn't deter me. When my cheatfree logo went down somebody posted a topica couple of days later "HEY 2BIG wheres the cheatfree" and I replied GONE! I told y'all i was stuggling to not cheat and caved.
            How long were you "off plan"? How much did you gain?

            it was 4 full days of cheating which for me is even one carb more then I'm supposed to eat so even though the folk there were saying well at least you are eating healthy carbs it was still a cheat. Being allergic to soy saved me from all the white flour and proceesed foods like cookies, cakes and pies So it was mostly mega fruits, icecream,real pasta, and real coke.

            I lost my Atkins loving euphoric feeling. I restarted of course back in induction cause i was out of ketosis but kept jumping off daily. It was over 3 weeks before I could get more then 2 days doing Atkins together.My euphoric feeling I'd had since day one never returned. Once I was back in ketosis I went back to premaintenance eating. I reagained up to 192 and was at 167 when I stared so I packed on 25 pounds very fast. I know lots of it was fluid stored with glycogen. My I love Atkins high never came back but I did get my treadmill back and put it to good use walking off pounds and frustrations and by the end of the first week of May I was back down to 169 and have been on plan since then.

              now 2big, I think the best part of that is when you told me you actually kept track of your carbs EVEN when you went off plan a bit. Only 2 big!!!

                LOL well Bren when you are conditioned after almost 2 yrs of cheatfree Atkins to check labels and keep a running tab on those carbs every day it was just habit. Shocking info habit those days but a funny thing happens during the day if you don't. Our brains think that food eattrn earlier was one of those mythical magical noncounting counting carbs and when you reconsile the totals on your food journal later YIKES you are over your limit.

                If we balanced our daily carb budget better like say a check book we wouldn't bounce our Atkins like a check without overdraft protection would.
