This is not my house, but it's been decorated for as long as I remember, we go by every year.

I honestly do not have any decorations up this year, but here's my favorite ornament from last year, from none other than our own Jimmie 48!

Taken while decorating the tree this year. The gappy/clustery spacing of the ornaments is thanks to the persons pictured.

Yay Adena! Thanks! I think the kids did a fine job and probably had a good time too.

Sorry Silly....haven't decorated this year as we'll be away on Christmas day this year and the kids are in the process of leaving the nest. In Italy they're very hot on decorating outside. Everywhere you go there are trees lit up and porches full of fairly lights. So pretty at night!

                Re: Celebrate Holiday Decorations

our camera is on the fritz.
silly, i remember buying that ornament! i sent several out last year and again this year. looks like i've started a tradition!

our tree is always decorated up with real bird's nest that we have gathered from the places we've lived. the tree has lots of deer, bird, bear and woodsy type ornaments.
mom gave us a small white paper tree and i put that in the bay window of the dining room. it has all our old glass ornaments on it and it has a couple strands of the mini colored lights on it. framing the bay window is a garland with a long strand of mini colored lights and attatched to the garland with strips of plaid material are a bunch of snowman ornaments.
i took down the glassware that was on the shelf in the dining room and put garland across that with some of the old large type bulbs using red, white and blue bulbs. i have a few larger snowmen intertwined twined with that. stuff that wouldn't fit on the window garland.
i have another "cone" tree in the kitchen. this was made by taking a styrofoam cone and glueing spanish moss all over it. i then took a strand of lighst and tied small peices of fabric on the cord of the lights, from one end to the other. then i wrapped the whole strand around the cone, top to bottom.
various santa figures are on the entertainment center with a strand of garland and mini white lights. santas fill the backers rack in the living room. mini white lights adoren the tree.
cross stith chirstmas pictures are on the walls and wreaths are on the doors.

wish i could take a picture!

                        Thanks for sharing, Julie.

I remember the cinnamon/applesauce ornaments. I used to make them with my DDs. What fun, and they smell so good.

i've done the cinnamon/appplesauce ornaments too!
some people know that i have chickens in my kitchen so one year i did a small tree with chicken cookie cutters and made cinnamon/applesauce chicken "cookies" to hang on the tree. the cookies stayed out all year long and never lost their smell.
