  • I didn't die!!!

    This morning I ran my first 5k (as in, a real race 5k), and not only did I survive, and wasn't the last person to finish the race, I also beat my personal best time!!!

    Thanks you guys for all the encouragement with this, I couldn't have done it without all of you believing in me.

      Lyssie, that is so awesome! I don't think there are a lot of people who beat their PB in their very first race! I'm so proud of you!

                      So will you be doing more races? I'm not a runner but I can see myself one day trying a 5K.

                        Yeap! I'm looking at 28 April as the next one... There aren't any that are very convenient before then so BF suggested I use the time in-between for training... Although, according to my times, I do best when I haven't run for a week and have had barely any sleep the night before. Ironic. Maybe that's not true, I did run the week before this one *and* slept about 3-4 hours the night before.

                          Lyssie, that is absolutely fabulous! I KNEW the competitive gym rat in you would kick in, and that you'd kick assphalt out there!
