good morning friends!!! well, i feel rather silly posting this today but i am excited. in light of all the REALLY COOL celebrations here today (WAY TO GO ADENA!!!) this is really small potatoes but here i go.
since returning from rome and continuing with my atkins life, i, big dummy as i am (will i EVER learn!?) have been watching the scale and i've not been really discouraged but just more determined i guess to get things going again. i have not cheated, strayed, goofed, NOTHING!
yesterday i had to take a break from being nurse at home and ran my kiddo who is starting middle school out for a few new things at old navy. i saw the cutest fitted brown skirt. LOVED it. i grabbed a size 8 and ran in to try it on. mini me and her friend were across the aisle in the other room. IT WAS WAY TOO BIG! i sent her to get me the 6. tried it on and it FIT with a little room to spare.
she said in her LOUDEST MIDDLE SCHOOL VOICE...."MOM, YOU ROCK...I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!"
so it is official...now i have 3 size 6 goodies in my closet. i celebrate 3 things today...
1. fitting into a size 6 skirt with room to spare
2. learning that the # on the scale does not make ME, inches matter (finally)
3. BEST OF ALL.......my middle school girl thinks I ROCK...SHE IS PROUD OF ME NOT FOR BEING THIN, BUT FOR WORKING HARD AND BEING SUCCESSFUL AT WHAT I SET OUT TO DO.....WHAT A COOL LESSON FOR HER.
thanks for letting me share!
