    one hurdle down

Okay, maybe it's not the same as celebrating a one year anniversary, but I'm celebrating none-the-less. I made it through our 4th of July party without cheating! I stared down a plate of brownies, a big bowl of pasta, and home made ice cream. I'm on day 10 and still holding strong!

You go right ahead and celebrate Mike because you deserve it. That's quite an achievement! I had a similar experience last night when I made spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and salad for my daughters family. I ate 2 meatballs (220 calories and 2 carbs) before they even arrived so I wouldn't be tempted by the spaghetti, then at the table, I only ate salad because I was already full and I'm pretty proud of myself this morning. I can feel where I'm losing and it's a grand feeling!

Keep up the good work because the results are worth every bit of the struggle.

Excellent job Mike. See how easy that is once you have your mind set on succeeding instead of being a failure. Stay focused brother and you will see. God Bless, Joe
