  • 3 weeks in.....review

    3 Weeks into the Atkins diet.
    This is without any working out.

    Started out at 310, am now at 290. 20 pounds in 3 weeks. I realize this is probably that first 'slam' success. I'm keeping myself pretty hydrated, so I'm not sure if I can count it as ''water weight".

    let's see here......I don't feel thinner by any means, but we'll see how things go when I start working out again.
    I think i'm going to go 3 times a week, 30 minutes of elliptical/cardio, and 30-45 minutes of heavy sets with weights.

    I'm shooting for 315 squat @ 5 reps, 225 bench @ 5 reps, and 10, 25 pound weighted situps.

    We'll see how I do.

    So, 20 pounds down, roughly 90 pounds to go.

    you are doing a great job!!! and once that cardio hits the floor you should take off. remember, keep the water intake up....and you should soon be descending from altitudes of 240, 230....220, 210......and then soon you will land on your feet!

      great job Doug! Amazing how much better we feel after a couple weeks with just a little bit of work. Don't forget to hydrate - 64 oz a day minimum, especially when you start exercising. There are plenty of challenges on the board to keep you busy and a great way to meet people.
