  • wow!!

    i have heard the best time to weigh yourself is in the morning and i know your weight can flucuate about 2 lbs during the day - but anyways i been weighing myself in the morning and charting that as my goal and guess what i just woke up and stepped on the scale and was 299.6 lbs my mouth fell open i figured i would be about a lb heavier then that

    i am so freakin excited and dang proud of myself
    sure has motivated me 12.9 lbs lost so far and today is the start of the 12th day - although i will admit i cheated twice and had 2 planned meals where i was not on diet so technically i cheated 4 times - but i felt sooooo guilty afterwards after the last time i cheated i started a food journal this way i could feel even guiltier if i cheated - i am actually writing the journal this way my hands have to right down that i cheated which i dont wanna do and that has helped stay on task it has also helped to go back over the days and see that i have stayed on plan

    man oh man im just so excited
    next goal here i come !!!
    pretty soon i can post a i fit in a bath towel post lol
    as soon as i hit my 250 goal i will post some pictures

      Woo hoo! Your weight starts with a 2 now! Doesn't it feel great to see progress. It's a great thing that you are tracking your food now. I have the best success when I do that.

      It doesn't sound like you're going to, but I hope for your sake that you don't continue cheating. It will eventually bite you .

        thanks guys

        well 2 of the cheats were things i had already had planned so i dont feel as bad for those - but i think in every diet you need the occasional meal break otherwise as i have learned from past experience it will hurt me because then i will eventually just end up binging however i will keep those planned meals down to 1 time per month

        the other 2 cheats were me giving into temptation and eating cheese nips and i felt horrible afterwards so that definantly aint gonna happen again

        maybe one day i will be able to go back to the movies again - right now the temptation of popcorn and a soda and some skittles is to great so i am avoiding the movies for now however i have found more interest in going to the zoo lately with the kids - not only is it fun for them but its exercise walking around and once it finally warms up i will be able to take the girls to the beach which should be tons of fun

          hey B -- isn't the best feeling in the world the way you feel when you got on that scale and it seems the weight has just melted off!!! You have broken one barrier with your weight loss (into the 2's now!!)....now the work really begins!! Just remember to read the book....plan your meals and stick to them....read the boards and ask questions....you aren't alone in this journey, you have plenty of friends here who are more than willing to help you, to listen, to offer advise...use that resource! My other advice is join some of the exercise challenges - there are a lot of exercises you can do without even taking more than a few minutes of time out of your day - and it helps with your loss.

          Hopefully you are getting support at home with family and friends. That is so important. If your kids are small you can change their eating habits now so they don't have the same problems you've going through. I wish you much good luck and will watch your progress!!! Good luck

            Well I will be going back to the gym starting on monday which i had a trainer make a exercise plan for me to follow so doing good thing

            and working on the kids eating habits - well my oldest is fine she will eat what ever we tell her to but my 3 year old is very very picky and its just now recently she has gotten to the point that we can actually make her eat the things we want her to eat because now she understands we are not letting her up from the table until she does and while she cries and fusses over it and it takes a whole lot longer then it should to eat its getting done i figure the more time goes by the easier it will get and the quicker

              Try these instead of the cheese nips. Remember to count it towards your 3-4oz cheese allotment. No guilt here.

                haha its so funny you mention these i just saw elton brown do this on good eats with grated parmesan cheese and was thinking to myself well now thats a nice crunchy treat lol

                  I love cheese nips too! Try this.... take a slice of good old store bought cheese and fold it over a few times till you get 16 little squares. put them on a paper plate with parchment paper or spray some Pam. Nuke em for about a minute and a half (let them cool for a couple) and VOILA! Legal Cheese Nips! THey are just as cruchy and cheesey as the real deal! Good luck!
