Folks,
Thank God for Doctor Atkins!!!
On the scale today and I have lost the BIG 50!!!
Started at 358 on 12-15-2008, now 308. Fifty pounds in Ten Weeks!!!!
It is SO AWESOME being able to fit in my clothes! I have gone from stuffing myself in size 50" pants to being able to fit in 44" waist pants! YEA!!
I'm starting to get the "you're cute" comments, too! OMG I like that!
BTW, I have started exercise (Yes, it's mandatory- READ THE BOOK!)
I started with a weekly yoga routine that led to yoga 4-5 days a week (recommend Yoga Just My Size or Yoga for Round Bodies to get started- they are videos available from a library or Amazon). After a few weeks of the yoga, I added three days per week of walk/jog/not quite run (a really good training schedule for new "runners" is on about.com). I alternated that with strength training (started with isometrics- pushups, crunches, leglifts- then added weights for additional arm/upper body work).
I can almost feel my muscles!
I could not be feeling better! I am so thrilled that this is working for me! I am on OWL, and I am up to berries. I am a little scared to do legumes, but I will work them in eventually. I eat the step foods in proper serving sizes and proportions; Atkins really helps control the hunger urge/drive.
And I love plain water, no ice. I never realized how it really helps everything.
Can't wait to enter the century club! On to 100!
Good luck everyone!
