    Hello everyone,

    I started atkins on Jan. 5,2009, my starting weight was 244 and here we are not quite 2 months later and I've lost 20 POUNDS!!! It's been hard but I'm working at it everyday. Only 24 lbs till my next goal.

    Congratulations to everyone. We can do this!

                    Awesome job! I also started January 5th at 238 lbs and have lost 18 so far. After reading other posts of people who've lost that in a month, I had been becoming somewhat discouraged. But I'm moving at a steady pace, and that makes me happy. I feel so much better and just this week have started having comments from people asking me if I've lost weight. What an awesome feeling!! Keep up the great work!

                      Heaviest weight last year- 400 lbs. (2007)
                      April 1, 2008 - 387 lbs. (This is when I initially started to lose weight…but was not on Atkins at this point)
                      Atkins start weight – 347 lbs. (July 19, 2008 – began Atkins)
                      1st major goal met -----
                      100 lbs. lost as of Oct 2, 2008 - Hit 300 lbs. on this day – From April 1-08 when I initially begin to lose weight.

                      2nd major goal met - 151 lbs. lost as of Jan 13, 2009 - Hit 249 lbs. on this day.
                      Current weight – 228 lbs.
                      Goal weight - 150 – 160

                        Congratulations! That is very encouraging. Keep going.

                        CuzMommySaysSo (love the name): You've lost 18 lbs - that is amazing!!!

                        Since January 5th - I've lost..... nothing!! Not been too good about it either, but I'm re-re-re-starting so this month will be better. 18 lbs is a lot of weight. Next time you go to the gym - try to go up and down the stairs a few times with 2 10 lb weights in your hands and see how that feels.

                          Congratulations --we started on the same day and have lost almost the same amount (I was 21 pounds on Monday 3/1 when I last weighed). I read where some people loose faster, some slower, but I'm happy with my progress because it's what I've done - at my pace - for my health...it's something no one else did.

                          I've been doing the same exercises almost from the beginning, so since this is the start of my 3rd month on plan, I'm going to shake things up and do a few different things to hopefully get my body going again. I just don't want to get stagnant!

                          Keep up the great work! I'll watch for your progress.
