Thanks to all those who walked, wogged, jogged, and prayed during a 5k for a Cure yesterday!
It was an incredible day full of memories and determination! The original count for the Race for the Cure for Cancer, Boise was just over 14,000. However, when the race began, the annoucer said there were over 15,000 people registered to walk with over $200,000 of funds raised for the cure for cancer...and we saw #15,001 walking with the pack we stayed with. It was really an emtional day over all, and so worth the time, money, and energy put into the entire event.
Thank you for taking time out of your day yesterday to join in the race from wherever you live.
I'm already looking forward to this time next year with a larger team!~Lisa
Jimmiejo...thank you for taking the time to walk and pray. You're prayers are certainly heard! I did a lot of that while walking...especially seeing kids and husbands with signs of "In memory of my mom", "In celebration of my mom", "In memory of my wife", and "In celebration of my wife". It was so moving.
Ashleye233...thank you for moving for a cause!
