  • First mini goal after half way

    Starting to take longer for mini goals, but to be honest i haven't been quite as strict as before and should probably change the stage my profile lists because i usually allow myself 35-40 grams of carbs per day.

    Still, 120lbs gone and my life changed in ways i couldn't have even imagined 8 months ago. My doctor had me do full blood tests, and everything is great, with my cholesterol levels actually better than when i started! I can't even express what an inspiration this forum has been, and just hope i can come even close to inspiring others with my posts.

    You are having far too much carbs for extended induction but hey its working for you and you have had brilliant weight loss in just months.Many congrats,looking forward to seeing that pic you mentioned.

      It's only in the last couple of months i've increased the carbs, and obviously the loss has slowed down.

        kradec.... great job. You have really lost alot in such short time. That is awesome. Do you have excercise in you regimen? I have been on Atkins since 10/26 and as of yesterday I am only down 18 pounds and I feel that the weight loss is kind of slow for me. I have not been excercing so as of Sunday I have started fast walking on the treadmill. So I have started with 1m a day. I know it is a little but I will be working my way up there. Hopefully the excercise will help my pounds drop. Anyway congrats on your weightloss and any advice will be so helpful.

            woo hoo congrats on the great job you are doing morphing your body to the healthier smaller new version.

            So if you are enjoying those added carbs check out the OWL forum. you can squat at your 35-40 grams and check out the rungs if you want. Aftewr so many months in induction I'd bet some more veggies nuts fresh dairy and berries would help with any missing vits and minerals to hel keep you shrinking along toward goal weight.

                    April 1, 2008 - 387 lbs. (This is when I initially started to lose weight…but was not on Atkins at this point)
                    Atkins start weight – 347 lbs. (July 19, 2008 – began Atkins)
                    1st major goal met -----100 lbs. lost as of Oct 2, 2008 - Hit 300 lbs. on this day – From April 1-08 when I initially begin to lose weight.
