I'm on cloud 9 this morning, everyone!
Today is my weigh-in day, and after 4 weeks on Atkins, I am down a total of 20.5 lbs! I wanted to shout for joy when I got on the scale this morning, but I forced myself not to so I wouldn't wake the baby.
I never, EVER imagines that I could possibly lose this much weight in such a short period of time!
Just a note to anyone who is starting out... DO NOT GIVE UP!!!
Week 1 was awesome - the weight was practically melting off! I lost 15.5 lbs my first week of Induction. Week 2 of Induction, however, is a different story. I actually GAINED 1.5 lbs (but I think that must have been water - not fat).
I was incredibly frustrated with the gain on the scale, and I became extremely discouraged. I had planned on staying on Extended Induction, but at the urging of many of the members here, I moved on to OWL and WOW - that's when the weight REALLY started coming off!
Here are my weight stats for each week to illustrate how much OWL has helped me (don't forget - I exercised at least 5 days a week, too)!
Starting weight: 258.5
Week 1 (Induction) : 243
Week 2 (Induction) : 244.5 (
)
Week 3 (OWL Rung 1) : 242
Week 4 (OWL Rung 1) : 238
I honestly meant to move on to OWL rung 2 at the beginning of last week, but I got very disorganized about my foods.
Gonna be better about it this week as I move on to Rung 2!
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who suggested moving onto OWL!!! I would have been stuck at 244 if I had stayed!
For now, I'm going to go celebrate my victory with some yummy scrambled eggs and a killer workout to get week 5 started with a bang!!!

Yay! Well done Bekki!

And I only have one little one right now, but she's a maniac and counts as two. She's 10 months old, and gives me a constant workout because I'm always chasing her up the stairs!
