  • Why Measurements are Important!!

since starting a weightloss program in January i have officially lost 25lbs.
in all honesty if i was simply going by the scale, i would have thought that i would lose more "weight".

i took my measurements this am, and am officially down 6 inches in my waist and 7 in my hips.

that my friends is worth WAY more than the actual poundage!!

moral of my story? take your measurements!

Sweet results! Great work. I am down almost the whole 45 pounds I had to loose, and I lost 4-5 inches off my waist.

I love that I have a record of my measurements going back to the beginning of my journey...some of the stats are amazing...like I've lost 5" from my upper arm...picture that! 13 inches from my waist. 7.5" from my thigh. That "sounds" to me like more than 100lbs

            it's neat hey!
while the eating is really helping me lose size.. so is all the running.
it's changing my body shape which is SUPER cool.

Congrats on your inches lost... and the running, that is one of my dreams is to be able to jog...For me the inches come off so slow..slower than the scale... isn't it funny how we are all different...

                    Re: Why Measurements are Important!!

So far on my journey I've lost over 20 inches all over. The weirdest one to me is my ankles. I've lost a 1/2 inch off my ankles. And now my size 7 1/2 shoes are practically falling off my feet. If it weren't for the strap, I believe they would!

Awesome!! I feel like my waist hasn't budged in months, but my hips & but are shrinking! Question: do you guys get help to measure or do it yourself. It's hard to measure the arms & legs. Any advice/tips?

                        Re: Why Measurements are Important!!

Though I've lost 45lbs more slowly than I would like, I am into my 3rd set of slacks. Gone from a 55"to 50".

It's funny though, I'm losing inches faster on my upper body than my middle. Still got the biggest spread in Texas though. Hope that will go soon.

Yes, measurments...the tale of tape is what will keep you more encouraged than the scale. The scale is NOT your friend. Say it with me...THE SCALE IS NOT MY FRIEND. It will lie to you. The tape will not.

Keep up the good works guys and gals. We're all in this together.
