:wave I'm from the South and would like to say "Hello ya'll". I'm female, 54 years old, married for 35 years, have 2 sons (both grown, no grandchildren). I'm a retired registered nurse of 29 years. I've been overweight most of my life but the past 10 years I've gone from 200 to my starting weight of 261.
I'm on day 12 of induction and am finding that although I'm loosing inches, the pounds are very slow (3 lbs to date). I have several things against me to cause a high metabolic resistance. Namely; HRT, antidepressant, diuretic, hypothroidism, and chronic back pain which impeds my excerising capabilities. I'm just working through the pain and starting off slow with exercises but I'm doing it. Doc won't change any of the meds so I'm stuck with them.
I'm home all day. I found this bulletin board which I really enjoy. I've posted some and have gotten some good responses. Encouragement is what I hope to find here. I read the DANDR and keep it by the computer along with his carbohydrate gram counter. I'm using the Atkins site to keep up with my food & carb intake. This has been helpful. Well, that's enough about me. :ThumbsUp
