  • Hi everyone! I'm back...

    Hi!
I don't know if anyone remembers me, I'm Mel, I'm 22 and I am from Serbia and I've been here about a year ago for a few months when I first decided to try Atkins for the first time! I lost 20ish pounds in 2-3 months and I was very happy about it! But then, unfortunately, my hair started falling out really bad and my dr said I need some serious dose of vitamins, so I dropped Atkins, and tried to do a low fat diet! Now, here I am, nine months later, and I haven't lost anything (all I can say, I didn't gain any, luckily) but I also have my binge/purge sessions once in a while (once in a while getting more and more often) and I don't want to go back on the ED wagon, it took me so long to recover from that!
So, here I am, wanting to go back to Atkins, but this time I want to do it a bit differently! I will take ALL the vitamin pills I need, I don't want to see any hair falling out or any lack of vitamin!
I am planning to start on Monday, do a 2weeks clean induction and then move on to owl, (which I didn't do the last time, I stayed on 15ish grams of carb a day for almost 3 months)!
I guess this is it, just wanted to say hello, and... wish me luck next week!!!

    mini goal 1: 175
mini goal 2: 158 - this is where my BMI starts being normal

GOAL 1: 145 - this is the weight I will be happy with! Then, I'll take it slowly from there...
GOAL 2: 130ish? I first set my goal at 118, but realized it might be just a bit low...

    Welcome back, Loooney!

You already know how helpful this board can be. I've read several things about the hair falling out. Several people here have had that problem and it is temporary. It is just a reaction from your body to your change in diet. But definitely you should be taking vitamins as well.

    Good luck!
    Jim

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?

I would start your vitamins now. Then you will have a good start. We look forward to having you here again.
