  • NEWBIE!

    Hi, ALL!

Tomorrow is Day 1 for me. I'm very familiar with Atkins bcause most of my friends have tried it and lost weight,... and here I am, still heavy and hating life! :sadblinky

I remember this time last year, I was thinking the same thing..."I wish I had started losing weight during winter, so that I would be able to wear a swimsuit this summer." Hmmmph...I'm thinking the same thing this year.

My two daughters are 4 & 5, and I haven't been a healthy weight since the birth of my first daughter. I love them dearly, but I abhor my will to change! However, I know that I must DO something about my current situation, in order to be here for my children.

I'm using this day to find the FATTEST pictures of myself, so that I can look at them every time I want to derail. If I don't change now, when will I?

    Welcome to the board!

You've found an awesome source of inspiration and support right here.

I did the same thing I looked for all of my worst pictures ( I did it when I was having motivation issues, not when I was starting) and used them for motivation to keep on. And I actually posted them in the B&A forum as well.

I wish you the best of luck!
    Jim

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?

Last year, this year, what's the difference?

the main thing Kai, is that you are starting NOW and that's the important thing!

It will be a tough and long road to travel, but one day at a time! and it will be worth the journey :yes and there will be lots of things that you will learn about yourself along the way - and all for the better.

        so Welcome Kai!

        Cheers

Hello. Welcome. You've come to the right place to get the encouragement and motivation to become healthy and lose weight. I've been on Atkis since March 2004 and it has changed my whole life. I am so much healthier and happier now that I've lost some of the weight.

Make sure you follow the program as it was written by Dr. Atkins in the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution book, edition 2002. If you do everything that he tells you to do, you will be successful.

Best wishes!! Keep us posted on your progress.
