  • I really need to make this work

    Hi,
I am 42 yr old woman, born in New Zealand, living outside of London.
I have done induction twice, its getting cleaner, have quit caffeine, get into ketosis, but no weight loss at all after 2-3 weeks. I get discouraged at the lack of results and fall off the wagon... leading to cravings and bingeing most aweful. I have about a gazillion questions, which all boil down to how can I make this work for me?

Hello there. The first step is to buy the book. If it isn’t in stores near you, you can a used inexpensive copy off of ebay or amazon. Reading the book is really one of the first musts. I have re-read mine probably 5 times and I go back to reference it. The book tells you all about the diet and the whys and hows of it all. Second, read all you can read before posting questions, read all the stickies at the top of each forum. These may answer some of the initial questions you have. Next, commit to do this for the next 2 weeks. No cheating allowed. Once you read the book, you will know how to begin, then ask as many questions as you want. These boards are fantastic about answering questions and being supportive.
If you start following the induction phase you will find that you will start to feel better and lose weight. Exercise and drinking plenty of water are also vital to losing weight on Atkins. Read the book and good luck!

Thank you for your welcomes. I have a copy of the book, and I've read it but I know I haven't understood all of it. Hinen

          Welcome to the board!

You've found a great source of inspiration and support right here! Reread the relevant portion of the book that is applicable to you right now. Just understand each section as you move through the phases.

We have quite a few people here who live in the UK (and a few kiwis, too), so specific food related questions related to living in London can probably be answered pretty quick.

          Good luck!
