  • New Here!!

    Hi,
My name is Kim, I live in Glen Burnie, MD and I have finally decided to take control of my life. This is my 1st week of induction and I feel I'm doing pretty well. I've been excercising for a couple of weeks now so I feel good as far as energy goes. I have a long way to go but I think with this forum I will be able to get through the tough first 2 weeks. Thanks in advance for everyone's support, I'm sure I'm going to need it!!!

:wave Welcome aboard! You'll definately get lots of support here. Sometimes we're a bit slow to respond but if you have an issue and nobody responds just bump it up because sometimes we miss things. We always care though!!! It looks like on your first week on induction and you've already lost 5lbs! That's awesome!!!! :icondance

Welcome!! So happy you decided to take charge and get healthy. The ADBB is wonderful for keeping you motivated as you lose the weight.

When I first began this WOE, I wondered if it would work for me. Now, after one year and 100 pounds, I know this WOE works if you follow the book and do what Dr. Atkins tells you to do.

Best wishes to you and I look forward to sharing your success as you lose the weight and get healthy.

Welcome to the Atkins way of life and to the Adkins Diet Bulletin Board. I'm fairly new myself and have found the folks here very helpful and supportive. I know it has helped me through my 14 day induction & my first month on the diet. You will notice the same thing. They will give you the encouragement to stick with it. Participate by reading the stickys in the various sections and reading new posts. Ask questions when you have them. Just jump in there. You will love it. :nod

Welcome Kim, the first two weeks are tough, but it's all worth it! 14 days out of your life is not that bad if you truly want to lose. Just relax and enjoy all the food you get to eat. Dr. Atkins did not starve us, that for sure!
