  • Hello there!

Stumbling across the google site to find new friends in Atkins, I found this site. Love the look!

I have had success with Atkins in the past, stumbled along the way, and found my energy to get going again this past week.

I'm on week 2 of Induction, have been clean and following the rules to a "t"...I know Atkins works for me because 7 pounds didn't just fall off for no reason, just the right reason.

Excersize is on hold until after I recover from a sunburn; too much fun this past weekend, who didn't? lol. Normally I walk 2 miles a day or ride my bike 2 miles a day.

It's one day at a time working on me, for me.

This board seems really friendly, so I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to There's lots of caring people here to help you on your journey. You sound like you know your stuff though! I like what you said about the pounds fell off for the "right reason." Very cool. I like your siggy too...that's really cute.

      Re: Hello there!

Thanks Bugaboo!---one thing I've learned about Atkins, one has to re-read everything and understand as much as possibly how the body breaks down the fat. --but it's still a learning process no matter how many times anyone "falls off" or "gets back on".

Looking forward to getting to know ya!

Welcome to the board, Miss Lisa!

You've found a great source of inspiration and support. Keep it up and you'll be at goal before you know it.

        Good luck!

          Re: Hello there!

Welcome to the ADBB. You are just in time to experience the NEW bulletin board. It just went live on Saturday. It sounds like you're having a lot of success on Induction. You will find a lot of support at this site. I was new to Atkins and found the folks here very supportive and helpful with even the simple and "dumb" questions I had. There are lots of resources here in the form of "stickey" notes under lots of the forums. Hope you enjoy your time spent here. Again welcome

            Re: Hello there!

Thanks so much, Jim & Punkin---I can feel the support already from the people here. I love that everyone is open and will to help...along with passing on good and correct information according to how Dr. A intended Atkins to be.
