  • 2nd time around......

I started this WOE here at this board in October 2004 as(pandorasheart) and I had problems getting it right in the begining, but when I came to this board I lurked for awhile and then one day I entered the chat room and recieved some great advice and was able to settle in to this woe and the pounds started dropping off..... I had lost a total of 72 pounds, but then ( no this is not an excuse) I started doing my internship at 40 hours a week and then working my actual job 32+a week hours and add in a few stressful nasty saprises I had to deal with that also dredged up some old feelings that werent good feelings. I got worn down and somehow reverted back to my old habits of grabing sugar when I was tired and ran down. however, the sugar fix wasn't working like I remembered it did, and I actual felt quezie from it but of course I still ate it looking for that sugar rush to get me through the night..... I did keep an eye on the scale I at first I didn't gain but then one day I got on the scale and it was up 5 pounds 7, 10, then I stopped getting on the scale well I went to put my size 18's on and they were fitting snugly, I better way my self.... OH know up 23 pounds, I have to get back on plan....... So here I am getting back on track again. with a new out look and new name! a more postive name. It's not that I have been completly off plan I for the most part watch what I eat but as for the water intake and the treats ( trip to DQ) and excersize, I need to change.... So I am back here where I got it right the first time with the help of some wonderful people!.......... I have 90# more to lose......
If you've made it this far thanks for "listening"

I orginally started Atkins 10-04 and had lost 65 pounds, went through a stressful time and slowly got off the "wagon" I know "stress" is not an excuse I let it control me instead of me controling it. So here I am again and have gained 23 of the 65 back. I have to get back on plan and start loosing again. and start feeling good again, have engergy again, boost my confidence.

    Hey kando....
like the name...anyway...just looking through the posts and read yours and thought I would say hello. Are you still sticking to plan? Are you doing induction? Anyway...you might want to pop into the OWL board or the Second time around board if you are redoing induction to get you back on track. So welcome back!

I am also starting my second time around. I have lost 30 lbs with atkins since June but I got off track about 3 weeks ago. Atkins is the only diet that I have ever been able to stick with and I don't know what happened that made me stop doing it but I've got about 25 more lbs to go. Wish me luck.

              Re: 2nd time around......

Wow, there is a lot to take in on this site, I've been reading for a few hours, and feel like I'm part of a really great group of people who have a wealth of information to share. I originally started Atkins back in 2003 and lost 40 pounds . . . I let life's trials and tribulations side track me, I gained 26 pounds of the 40 back . . . but I'm back on track, restarting this week (day 5 about to end!)

I'm in ketosis, but I really need to get serious about excercise . . . although I walk home from work everyday (1.5 miles) I know that is just a drop in the bucket, so I'm planning on going to the library tomorrow (Portland, OR) and see what kind of aerobic videos they have . . . any suggestions?
