  • Yet Another New ADBBer!

So I found this board a couple days ago just surfing around for more info on Atkins. I was previously doing WW and well, that just was NOT working. So I figured, yep, time to do Atkins.

I had previously done Atkins in 2002, for about 6 months, until my parents decided they missed bread and such, so they told me to do WW or general low-calorie. I felt good on Atkins, and I actually lost a ton of weight (about 60 pounds!) So I did, and well, I gained it all back.

Quick info about me... I am 25, took 3 years "off" between highschool and college while recovering from a car accident, and now I'm done with a BS in Anthropology, BA in Native American Studies, and working on finishing my BS in Geology. This semester shouldn't be as rough as my last two, which were crazy. I'm just doing the last of my required courses now, so yay! (Then off to grad school. ) I currently live with my sister and her boyfriend in Iowa, she is also a geology major (and she has never had any problems with weight... no matter what. )

I saw some of you guys had cool signatures so I made one to fit in a bit. Since I haven't lost weight yet, it's not so impressive!

So anyway, nice to meet you all and I hope to talk to some of you in the various boards!

Hi! I agree with Desert...great post! You've got a great positive attitude, you're going to do awesome! Have you checked out the STAC forum? They're people in the same boat you are...doing this the second, third, fourth and so on time around. You might want to consider a journal as well...it really helps to keep track of things...but no rush...go as you feel comfortable. But however you utilize the board welcome to

And congrats on all those degrees!! Very impressive!

          Welcome aboard!

I've done WW and was actually successful, but a stall from February-August sent me here, and I really do like Atkins, I think!

You'll enjoy the site, it is great fun
