  • Greetings from rainy New Hampshire

    Good morning everyone.
I'm excited to be here this morning!
I have been on Induction since Monday morning. I had done Atkins a couple of years ago and lost 40 pounds. I have since then gained 30 of them back. It's time that I get my butt in gear and do this again.
I weigh 280 right now, my goal is around 170-180. Ok, my FIRST goal is to get UNDER 250, haven't been there in YEARS!
On Monday morning I woke up and said this is the day to start again. My 13 year old daughter and I decided to go for a walk. The place we had decided to go was a little too wet...ok, it was quite flooded, so we had to find another place to go. I decided that we would go to the mountain and climb for a little while and then turn around. Well, once I got started I didn't want to stop so up to the top we went! I think I started a little too high...is there such a thing?...So since I can't "work" into climbing the mountain, already did that 1st day, I hope to climb the mountain again next week. My family says now I have to do Mount Washington, the largest in the state next month and Everest the following month! LOL
Well, I am headed grocery shopping here in a little bit so I am off to the receipe section to get some ideas and plan some menus for myself.
I see my biggest obstacle right now as the drinking enough water every day.

    Have a great day!
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
Welcome to the ADBB. Sounds like your not going to have any trouble getting your exercise in. I think its great that you've included your 13 year old in your walks, that will provide her with a positive example of keeping healthy. If you are looking for another challenge to keep you motivated, we have several challenges going on in our forums to encourage exercise/weight loss through team efforts and friendship.

Best wishes. I look forward to hearing more about you through your posts!

Welcome Neighbor (I'm from VT). Hopefully you aren't in the Southern part of NH that had all the flooding - that was just awful!
If you stick to this WOE you will feel great and look great!

Fortunately we aren't too close to the flooding and we live on a nice big hill so no flooding here.

Thank you all for the welcomes.

Welcome Sara from a neighbor on your other side here in Maine!

Walking is great exercise and with your dd is even better. For both of you. I enjoy all time spent with my daughter and when you get to help her learn something as important as exercising is to her life, its a double blessing.

Dont you think we have had just about enough rain up here lately?? Im a little water logged and there is just not enough mousse in this hemisphere to keep my hair in shape once I walk out that door lately. You can literally hear blades of grass gasping for air around here.
