Pleased to meet you and to be doing this program.
I don't know how much I weigh- I don't have enough courage for that yet- I know it needs to be done, but I am estimating that I need to lose about 40 lbs, give or take a few.
A bit of history, I have been following the "body for life" program and have had great success on it, then, I had my second daughter and although I have been working out since she was 4 months old- nothing is happening weight wise, a lot of effort and nothing. For those who don't know body for life, it is a 6 meal a day equal carb and equal protein diet that emphasises exercise, 6 days a week of high intensity work outs.
So after hearing about it on another board (thanks cleochatra) and doing a lot of research on the web I bought the book and have been following the induction since monday.
The first day I had a headache which slowly diminished. The exercise is the same- for me that is not the problem. Well only 3 days and my husband says he has noticed a difference already, like I am not so "puffy".
So that is where I am at the momment.
My true test will be this week end, we are going to Berlin for a mini- break and well, German food, what can I say! I think the beer will be tough, maybe a sip!
On a personal note, I am Canadian and living in Warsaw, Poland. We have been here for two and a half years while my husband is working a contract for a real estate developer. I have managed to pick up some work as a stylist for a Polish decorating magazine and I have just wrapped up a model home I decorated for a builder here. We have a 6 year old girl and an 11 month old baby girl- who is our little devil.
