where would i post if i have a couple of questions??

    Re: question?

It really depends on the question.

If its a technical one about the board post it on technical questions section.

If its an induction based question ask it in the Induction forum.

Same with if its an excercise question, ask that in the excercise forum.

If it is asked in the incorrect section, it can be moved so dont worry too much just ask ask ask and ask away.

    I hope this helps.

          1) Yes Atkins is something you will have to do for the rest of your life. But don't feel as if that is too daunting as there are 4 stages of the Atkins diet.

          Induction
          On Going Weightloss (OWL)
          Pre Maintenance
          Life Time Maintenance.

At the end of your weightloss (if you follow it correctly) you will be in Life time maintenance. Which is far easier than it sounds to stick too, as by then you will be completely used to the way of eating.

          2) Yes the weight will stay off, just as long as you follow the diet to the letter. I have been on Atkins now for best part of two years and am maintaining perfectly, and still losing (ever so slowly). But I know for sure that I will be eating the Atkins way now for the rest of my life.

          3) This is a tricky one as there are a number of different views. Some doctors are for it and others are against it. In my opinion there are no health risks. I have had my blood pressure and my cholesterol level checked a number of times since doing this and each time my figures have been lowered.

The best thing you can do is to pick up a copy of DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) and that will explain it all to you.

          Any other questions, please shout.

I've no idea. To be honest as I am England, but you are bound to be able to get it on the internet.

I'll get one of my Colleagues to help you.

                    Hi texasluvv,

Your local library may have a copy, and any bookstore can order it for you if they don't have one in stock!

Once you get a copy, please read the maintenance chapter - this will show you that all good whole food will be re-introduced back into your diet...it's not Induction forever...the book is really important!

The basic answer to that one is, possibly.

Some people do and some people don't. I personally lost around 8 lbs in my first week. But on of our longer standing mods didnt lose anything in the first couple of weeks, but still got to goal.

The most important thing for you is to stay focussed throughout and not to get dis heartened.
