  • Hi Everyone (Another South African)

    Hi Everyone,

    Iv been lurking for about a week so i guess its time to introduce myself to you guys at .

    I'm a 21 year old female 5'4 and currently about 155 pounds (70kg)
    I moved to London at the begining of the year and almost instantly put on about 8 pounds... Since May I have been deperatly trying to loose it but with each low fat low carb 'diet' i just seem to have gotten bigger.

    I am now 2 stones heavier than i was when i first arrived (not bad considering iv been dieting for 5 months) and am desperate to loose it! I started induction last monday...and i plan to do my first weigh in on sunday (14 days) so i hope it shows some progress because nothing else has helped so far

    So far i am finding the low carb eating a pleasure! No more hunger... no more obsessing over food, i sleep at night and i have energy during the day. Iv also been much less moody and more positive!

    Ok so thats where i am at, at the moment . I have stuck to the rules 100%, no cheats at all!

        Hey 2big,

        Wow you have done brilliantly!!!
        Do you have any before and after pics i can see?

        I do on average fast walk about 30-45 mins a day between walking to the tube, to work, to school and back and to shops etc..is this enough?

        I am going to start doing 30 mins cardio hopefully 3 to 5 times a week.

          Nice to see another South African. Where r u from? Which Town?
          And, we are going to make it ... we are going to be thin again!! I must just start exercising again ... cannot get up in the morning to do a thing.

              Hi! Holding thumbs for your weighing session on Sunday! I only started yesterday and am a compulsive "weigher" I can't walk past the scale without getting on, so I asked hubby to hide it... He's only allowed to take it out every two weeks!

                I am from Jhb but currently in London... im going home for 6 weeks over christmas though Cant wait!!!!

                Haha i understand the scale compulsion... i just dont want to be disapointed and then give up.. i promised myself id stick to it 100 % for two weeks and then hopefully see big results

                  that is a great start for your exerciuse program and as youget in better condition you can add to it. We also have to do resistance traing so look to add some of that 3 days a week too.
