I everyone, I am Kalipooo, and I hope to do great this time !! I tried a couple of years ago, and did fair, but I did a lot of things wrong, now I know( I hope) like eat a whole bag of pork rings at a time( and I wasn't even that fond of them!ha ) because some one told me to,Duh.
This time I hope to learn more about Atkins and listen to people who has been there and done that. I am not able to exercise like most people, so I hope some one could tell me some that I could learn.
I really want to be healthy, years ago it was about looks, but today it is number 1# to be healthy and happy, because I feel if you are healthy and happy, your inner beauty will shine like a star!
So I want anyone that has a couple spare minutes to please send me a holler, and keep me on track, my sister is here and together we will lick this weight problem, a few of you have already met her, Donna Sue, she is a great friend and sister, and she is a little nuts! ha

        Hi,
Thanks for taking time to read my message, what I mean about the exercise, is that I am in a wheelchair, I am a paraplegic, I can't move my legs or stand on them or walk, so it is very hard to get any kind of exercise. But I guess I got enough of the wrong kind, fork to mouth to plate, or I wouldn't be here! LOL

Seems to me you could still be able to do some form of cardio. I've seen people in wheelchairs doing laps and in marathons. Is there a school close to you that has a track? Is this something you could try? I would suggest some gloves too.

Cardio is just working the heart. You can do it!

                    Hi Kalipooo,

Congratulations! I tried this several years ago too. For one of my parents in a wheelchair, I bought a pedal gizmo that either sits on the floor and works like an exercise bike or sits on a table as an arm cycle. Pretty small and relatively inexpensive and a great upper body and aerobic workout. I know the weather in KY can be limiting too once it starts getting cold.

                    Good luck!!
