    I just found this board. I haven't started the atkins diet yet, but I will in the next few days. I really want to lose this extra weight. I don't want to let my self to get any bigger. I hope to weigh 115 by April 3, my 3rd year wedding anivesary.

                  Welcome Mom2cam. Great to have you join us. I've been on Atkins for a year and half and it is the best weight loss plan I've ever been on. Check out all the forums that are available to you here at the ADBB as you start your new WOE.

                        OooOooo. I love it when we get someone who hasn't started the WOE yet cause then they can benefit from our wisdom and mistakes.
                        1) Measure yourself. Its so great when the pounds don't seem to be departing to watch the inches melt away. Oh and don't don what I did and lose the numbers
                        2) Go shopping alone and when you have lots of time. Read labels and you will quickly see why this diet works. Carbs mean sugar and you've been eating tons of sugar.
                        3) Exercise is an important part of this diet, probably the most important. So join a gym, get a tape, schedule it, etc
                        4) Stay with us. To a person everyone on this board believes that ADBB has helped just as the exercise, the food and the water.
