Hi everyone!
I've been lurking here on this board for a few months and only posting here and there (I think this is my 4th post!).
I'm not sure if I should count myself as a 2nd time around-er or not. I started Atkins back on 1 December 2003 (hey, tomorrow is my Atkinsversery!), lost 40 pounds and got stuck. The Air Force moved us to Alabama in August 2004 and I found it very hard to get back into my exercise plan while we were there. I gained about 10 lbs back. I got pregnant in January of this year, had my 5th miscarriage in April, moved to Germany in June and ended up gaining all but 12 of my original 40 pounds back.
But, I got back on plan totally with exercise AND eating on 1 September and have lost 17 pounds since then.
The emotions surrounding my due date in October were hard to bear, but I didn't stumble on either my exercise or eating, so I know I can stay on this plan through anything now.
I think I'm finally in a place where I feel confident eating low-carb in a foreign country. We don't eat out much and there's no low-carb tortillas here, but otherwise the plan is going well. My 10-year-old dd goes to swim practice at a pool that is 40 miles away. The team busses her up there 3 times a week so each of those days I have about 4 hours of time for me, so I have no excuses about missing exercise (unless I have to be on a bus at 0445 to go to a meet in Brussels!).
When the weather cooperates, I get to go walking on some AWESOME nature trails start or run right behind my house. Of course, at this time of year, the weather is not so cooperative and it starts getting dark at about 3:30. Thank goodness for the base gym!
Not much else to tell about me, I guess. I'm 39 (!) and have been married to a wonderful guy for almost 16 1/2 years. Our dd is our only child that God let us keep. I grew up in Texas, so I'm freezing to death over here in Germany. And I love the SA Spurs!
I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all!

I just don't think my "parts" were meant to be squished like that! And, unfortunately, no matter how much I weigh, I definitely inherited my dad's lack of a backside. So, I only do that 2-3 times a week and never two days in a row.
