Well, friends and neighbors, I'm a newbie here. Let me tell you my story.
Two years ago, I was getting ready to retire from the Army, and at a comfortable and svelte 200 lbs.
Since then, I've been in an office job, working ungodly hours, and have managed to put on seventy pounds. My blood pressure has gone up, my arthritis flares every morning, and I have become the cliche military retiree.
Everyone with whom I've spoken who's done Atkins has nothing but good things to say, and seem uniformly to be success stories.
Is it this way? Is it that effective? And most importantly, will you help me get back down to my goal?
I hope to meet you all at one time or another here on the BBS. Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm back now though and on track, and so thankful I know about this board! There is so much support and good information from people who are at all the different stages of this WOE. You've come to the right place.
