  • Howdy Folks !!

    Hey all .... I am Lori , I am looking to loose 100 pounds. I have done Atkins in the past , I lost 30 pounds then got prego . My daughter is now 5 and I am just getting the motivatin to be a better , thinner me

    I was searching high and low for an active forum that is hopping with fun friends and plenty of advice and encouragement. This look like the place to be
    , woo hoo !!!

    So here is to new friends and lots of weight loss

    Congrats on your weight loss already! This is an amazing board for encouragement and information about how to do the Adkins way of life eating plan. The people here are so knowledgeable and willing to share what they have learned.

            Thanks everyone , I LOVE seeing all of your photos and just when I think "**** ill just have a sandwich or something fast" I come here and look at all the pictures and read , read , read .
            I have a question about RUNGS ...... I have an older copy of the book and do not remeber this word being used , is it a new addition in the new vertions of the book ??

              dustysky welcome. I know what you mean about the "just have a sandwich" idea. It's a constant temptation for me, as I stay busy most of the day and it would be so easy to run over to the deli just down the road and grab a sandwich. The best way to overcome this is to plan and COOK ahead so you have food ready for lunch and dinner. Good luck. You've found the place for support.

                HEY! Welcome to ADBB! We have a great forum called the Century Club! Many of us have 100 pounds to lose, or are losing 100+ pounds! Come make yourself at home! I have some fuzzy-issue slippers for you!

                    Began Atkins March 04 at 260lb, reduced to 203lb by April 07 and maintained.

                    Atkins makes exercise mandatory - I took up cycling - see last pics at 203lb.

                      Welcome. I am new as well. I read through some of your responses to find they have a century club. I have close to a hundred pounds to lose, right now 70 would bring me to 170 lbs which my first weight loss goal.

                          Hi Lori. You've come to the right place. You'll find lots of motivation and support here as you get healthy and lose weight. Make sure you read the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002. Drink your water, exercise and take your supplements. You'll definitely see the pounds and inches disappear. I wish you best wishes and if you ever need help, just ask. Everyone here wants to help you succeed!
