My name is Vanilla and I just want to start off by saying Thank you so much for creating this website. It is very informative, I have learned a lot about the Atkins diet. In 2001, after I gave birth to my son, I used the Atkins diet to lose all my baby fat. I lost 35 pounds, in 3 months. It was amazing! I ate a lot of boiled eggs and bacon. I also had a vegetable protein drink every morning to curve the sugar cravings. (works very well) Well, unfortunately, I've gained all the weight back and some. I am a very unhealthy 230 pounds. I cannot fit into anything in my closet and I am ashamed to go out in public.
The good news is I am doing something about it. I started the induction phase on November 27, 2005 and I am past the harddest part, the sugar cravings! I am disappointed that I accidently ate a couple of those low carb Atkins bars. The wrapper said 2 net carbs and I thought I could eat it on the induction phase, nope! I learned my lesson and started the induction phase all over again today. My goal weight is 130. I want to lose 100 pounds in about a year. Hopefully.
