Hi everyone! I am doing Atkins for the second time, the first time I just stayed on induction, lost the weight and went back to eating regularly. I am intent on doing this program correctly, that means all the phases. I don't have a huge amount of weight to loose, but at five foot two and one hundred and seventeen pds it might as well be 50, it feels like it. I have had my weight fluctuate on and off between 108 to 115, for the last five or six years, usually stabilizing around 114. I am hoping to do Atkins right this time. This is my fifth day on induction, I am finding that it is difficult to control my portions, I know I need to be more aware of this but am enjoying the eating without thinking about fat and calories. If there is anyone out there who has this amount of weight to loose that would like a weight loss buddy please let me know, I think that would be fun. That's all for now!

Re: newbie in vancouver, BC
Welcome fellow Canuck! Come over to the Second chance forum, (STAC) we'd love to chit chat with ya! And in my case, I'll pitch n moan n whine about how NICE it is weather wise in B.C compared to Saskatchewan where we are presently frozen in. Ah yes beautiful flat prairie Saskatchewan where you can watch your dog run away for days!

Re: newbie in vancouver, BC
Hey Starmaker, thanks for the warm welcome! You mentioned you also had a small goal to meet, same as mine? Hope your Christmas was a success, for the first time in my life I did not have stuffing, gravy, cranberries, potatoes, booze or desert. I am so proud of myself ! I am feeling really great on induction, today was my 14th day, and I have gone from 117.00 down to 114.5, really pleased. The portions are coming down to a regular size, not today though I ate quite a bit of turkey, but got through it and stayed on induction. I think I will go for another few weeks until I hit 110. Hope your not freezing where you are, I have never been out of BC in Canada yet have travelled all over the world, I couldn't take it any colder than here, let me know how you are doing!

Hey Starmaker! I tried to respond to you earlier, I think however that I just sent the message back to me,Originally posted by StarmakerWelcome fellow Canuck! ! This is the only confusing part of the forum, I believe I have it right this time, if I don't get a response from you then I know I definately need to get some help. Hope you survived Christmas and New Years, glad to know there is another fellow canuck on board. I started at 117 and today weighed in at 112.5, I am so happy, still a bit to go, gw is 108, we'll see. Hope it's not too cold where you are, I don't think I could handle a prairie winter, summer would be nice though. Let me know how you are doing.
