    Hi From Puerto Rico

    Hi all. My name is Janice too. My husband and I live in Puerto Rico. I am retired and my husband is a professor of chemistry at the university here. We both quit smoking after smoking for 40 years each. We are smoke free as of August 25th of this year, using Zyban which really did it for us. Also the fact that we chose to quit at the same time. Now, we are both going to use this site to lose weight. I need to lose 25 pounds. Ten years ago I wore a size 8 great, now I am at size 12 and this is really hard on me, mentally. Thanks for this great site. We are the couple on the right in the picture, me a white top.

      Welcome Janice. I lived in Puerto Rico (Fajardo) a few years ago and miss the weather and the food. OMG there is nothing better than the fish dishes I tried there.
      Glad you found us and joined. This is a friendly group and I know you'll do well here.

        Hi Janice and welcome to !! That's really nice that you and your DH are doing this together, the support at home will be great!

        Congrats with the quitting smoking, that's quite an accomplishment!

            Hi Janice,

            Good luck to you. I'm just starting my "new" Atkins today. So far, so good. My husband and I will be visiting Puerto Rico in July--a wedding in Mayaguez. After that, we'll be off to Vieques for a week to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. I must admit, going to Puerto Rico is a bit of an incentive for me to stick to this diet, too! Not that I plan on wearing any bathing suits in public (I can't even swim)! LOL

            Anyway, good luck to you. I hope to see you around the board.
