Hello I am coming out of lurkdom to post. This seems to be a wonderful site and I look forward to being an active member. Like some of the other members who have posted, I went on the Atkin's program several years ago and had wonderful results. Then, since I was looking and feeling so much better, I decided I could eat the way I used to. Bad mistake. Now I know I need to make Atkin's my way of life. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hi Carrieh and I'm glad you came out to play at ADBB too!

You know, I think that's the biggest lesson to learn after your lose the weight, you can't go back to the way you used to eat!

Since you've been cruising the board for awhile now, you probably know where everything is, but...if you're interested in journaling, check out the Journal Chat and Journal Stats in the Miscellaneous Forum.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!! I appreciate it. I forgot all about setting up my stats, but have now added them to my signature (at least, I hope that's what I did!) I'll find out for sure when this post shows up.

Gotta say --- it's really hard setting down the actual weight and "sending it out there"!!! Guess it's just another step forward in facing facts and doing something about it.
